This 10 Years from Quinta da Gaivosa is a delightful reminder that patience, combined with the likes of Vinhas Velhas, can certainly pay off. The palate reveals a beautiful, lingering caramel, alongside intriguing spice notes – a charming nod to the Port tradition. There’s still a subtle hint of red fruit, almost as a whisper, but it’s the wine’s graceful and understated character that truly captivates, having earned a respectable 89 points from Robert Parker. Wonderful with a rich foie gras or a robust blue cheese.
