Domingos Alves de Sousa brings his wines to life, following a family tradition that began with his grandfather and is now joined by his own sons. He vinifies exclusively the grapes from his own estates—truly unique terroirs—and the quality and distinctiveness of his wines are widely recognized, earning distinctions and references in the most respected national and international publications. He received special acclaim for being awarded the “Producer of the Year” prize in 1999 and again in 2006 by Revista de Vinhos, becoming the first producer in Portugal to receive the country’s most prestigious wine award twice.
