This Touriga Nacional from Quinta da Pacheca certainly seems to have had a lively youth. It’s been carefully ‘selected’ from the grapes, followed by a gentle bruising in granite vats – quite the treat! A ten-day fermentation in those same vats, then a malolactic conversion in stainless steel, delivers a wine with a welcome acidity. The fourteen-month aging in new French oak barrels adds a subtle spice and complexity. Truly a wine to pair with roasted duck and almonds – a timeless combination that showcases the wine's fruity elegance.
