This rosé from Quinta da Pacheca Reserva clearly benefited from a rather indulgent youth. The grapes, meticulously selected – you know, the kind that come from those carefully chosen 25kg crates – underwent a chilled pressing, a clever tactic to maintain that lovely fruity finesse. The extended aging in French oak barrels with batonnage has resulted in a rich, almost decadent texture and a complexity that lingers like a thoughtful argument. And, predictably, a respectable 17.5 points from *Revista de Vinhos* confirms it – a wine that’s not shy about showing off, perfect with patés or game birds, naturally.
