It’s surprisingly complex for its powerful character, boasting notes of red berries and a touch of dark chocolate, a clear nod to the region’s incredible terroirs. Expect firm tannins and a long, lingering finish; it definitely benefits from breathing, but the patient drinker will be rewarded with remarkable persistence. Wonderful with grilled beef, I’d say.
