Pacheca Reserva Branco

Description

The white wine Quinta da Pacheca Reserva is produced from grapes sourced from several vineyard plots planted at an altitude of 450 metres. The aroma is delicate, with notes of pineapple, lychee and toasted nuances from well-integrated oak. Medium-bodied and very balanced, it has good acidity, which gives it freshness and minerality, and a long, persistent finish. Quinta da Pacheca, one of the best-known estates in the Douro, stands out for being among the first to bottle wines under its own brand. The name of this Quinta has been recorded since 17 April 1738, when a dated document first refers to the Quinta "da Pacheca", as its owner was D. Mariana Pacheco Pereira. However, it was not until 1903 that D. José Freire de Serpa Pimentel, whose growing interest in oenology had led him to pursue it further, bought the property with the aim of devoting himself to winemaking. Today, a century later, the new generation of the Serpa Pimentel family manages the Quinta: Maria, Catarina and José are the young faces of this distinctly family-run company.
