Quinta da Pedra Escrita, belonging to the Roboredo Madeira family for about eight generations, was restored in 2007. With its dry, arid soils, vine cultivation is no easy task, but it is this very challenge that gives the wines their aromatic intensity and remarkable complexity, while also granting them an impressive longevity. These wines also pay tribute to everyone who shaped and inspired Rui Roboredo Madeira. In one of the most remote parts of the Iberian Peninsula, in the rugged zone between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui’s passion for the aromas and scents of the land that shape his character was born within the family. After years of experience and stays in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal winemaking project with maximum respect for nature.
