This wine from Quinta da Pedra Escrita is quite the dedication – a white wine born of meticulousness. Harvested by hand and kept cool (a precise 16°C), it’s a complexity bordering on the reverent. The French oak ageing, coupled with *battonage* using lees from the granite and sandy soils of the Douro Superior (at 575 metres), delivers a remarkably persistent freshness that’s frankly, impressive given the altitude. Expect bright citrus and tangerine notes, alongside a slightly exotic edge – clearly, this wine is already contemplating the future, six months ahead of schedule! Wonderful with grilled fish or a vibrant ceviche.
