This Avesso is truly something special – it looks like it’s stepped straight out of a Minho fairytale. Harvested by hand using small boxes, hinting at a very individual approach to the grapes, it delivers a wonderfully fresh and fruity character, with beautiful floral nuances reminiscent of river breezes. Robert Parker’s 88 points certainly recognise its elegance and lingering finish, but with a touch of daring. Seriously, it’s brilliant with seafood, but with the potential to develop further complexity – a confident choice for those who appreciate a wine with a genuine soul.
