This Amarels sparkling wine, straight from the Cávado, is a delightfully precise and elegant affair. Built on Arinto grapes harvested at the tail end of August – a vintage clearly shaped by those northern breezes – and complemented with a touch of aged 2019 Arinto, spending 20 months in tank with batonnage, it’s a remarkably complex and polished wine. The *éclusage* on July 7th, 2023, ensures a superb mousse and a lingering finish. Seriously, it’s fantastic with grilled fish or oysters – a true reflection of this region’s winemaking heritage.
