“The meticulous, hand-harvested grapes from Quinta das Marias – primarily Alfrocheiro, Jaen, and Aragonez – were fermented in a granite lagar steeped in generations of tradition, utilising foot treading. This process imparts a wonderfully robust character. Following twelve months ageing in older French oak barrels, the result is a remarkably elegant and complex wine, as noted by *Grande Escolhas* (17/20). It’s a superb pairing for grilled beef, a truly soulful wine.”
