Quinta D’Azinheira Region: Douro – sub-region Baixo Corgo. Quinta D’Azinheira is situated in the authentic village of Azinheira (Santa Marta de Penaguião), in an amphitheatre of extraordinary natural beauty on the left bank of the Corgo River. Production is made exclusively from estate-grown grapes cultivated between 300 and 400 metres above sea level. Vine: Old vines aged 40 to 80 years, planted on chalky, highly stony soils that impart identity and complexity to the wine. Harvest and Vinification: Grapes were hand‑picked at optimum ripeness and transported in 20‑kg crates. After manual sorting, they were destemmed and gently crushed. Pressing took place in a vertical press and the must was decanted at 8 °C for 48 hours. Alcoholic fermentation occurred at 12 °C for 30 days, followed by 12 months in second‑year French oak barrels with bâtonnage over fine lees. Bottled in November 2024. Analytical parameters: Total acidity 7.0 g l⁻¹ | Volatile acidity 0.29 g l⁻¹ | pH 3.19 | Residual sugars 0.6 g l⁻¹ | Total dry extract 24.5 g l⁻¹ Pairing: Ideal with fish and shellfish, hard‑curd cheeses, and dishes of Asian cuisine. Awards: Good buy – Revista de Vinhos (2023). SKU: 107755
