Quinta De Azinhate Reserva Tinto

Description

Quinta do Daniel, established in 1893, is located near Pocinho in Vila Nova de Foz Côa. The estate overlooks the Douro River and welcomes every boat that arrives at the Pocinho pier. The vineyards extend from the left bank of the Douro and climb the slope in traditional terraces up to 425 m above sea level. About 80 % of the vines are in full production age, while roughly 20 % are red grape varieties, with a vineyard age of around 40 years. Quinta de Azinhate Reserva 2015 red wine presents a ruby colour. It offers aromas of red fruit, blackberry and black plum, with subtle floral and vanilla nuances. The tannins are lively, solid and pronounced yet polished and elegant, culminating in a long, persistent finish.
