This Syrah, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional has clearly been nurtured with a remarkable level of attention. The use of a robotic foot press, coupled with a pre-fermentation maceration at a gentle 18°C, speaks volumes about a producer keen on coaxing out every delicate nuance. The result is a medium-bodied red wine, showcasing the Syrah’s intensity alongside the Touriga Nacional’s elegance, all beautifully balanced by the subtle influence of French oak. It’s a particularly good match for grilled beef – and perhaps a perfectly roasted suckling pig with bay leaf.
