Born from the momentous year of 2014, this wine is the culmination of a rather discerning selection – only the top 12 barrels from Quinta de Fafide made the cut. Twelve months spent in French oak has endowed it with a wonderfully sophisticated elegance, revealing notes of ripe red fruits alongside a subtle hint of spice, very much in keeping with the characteristic Touriga Nacional and Aragonez of the region. A truly robust wine, it pairs beautifully with grilled red meats or a hearty beef roast – a match that really sings.
