A Quinta de la Rosa is a pioneer in the Douro region, renowned for its top‑tier wines and ports, with a history dating back to 1815. Despite some changes, it has always remained within the founding family, and in 1988 re‑entered the market with the production of its first house Porto. Today the estate is represented by the Quinta de la Rosa and Quinta das Bandeiras wines, recognized not only for the quality of their ranges but also for their hotel and restaurant unit, offering a fresh perspective on the Douro. Quinta de la Rosa spans about 62 ha along the north bank of the river, producing rich wines with remarkable acidity, minerality and freshness. Meanwhile, Quinta das Bandeiras, the producer of Passagem, is a 100 ha property acquired in 2005, of which 38 ha are planted with vines. (illustrative image)
