La Rosa is still largely unexplored, and the Douro terroir offers an incredible opportunity. None surpasses that of La Rosa, whose vines rise dramatically over the river, with the imposing vineyards of Vale do Inferno, climbing steadily to reach 500 metres with Lamelas, whose magnificent views soar over the heart of the region. The estate’s grapes are Category A – the best the Douro has to offer. The slate and granite soils, combined with the extremely varied topography, allow the white wines to showcase notable acidity, mineralism, and freshness. La Rosa’s whites are characterised by floral and citrus notes, with a balanced fruit profile. **Vinification:** Indigenous varieties from old vineyards. **DOC Douro:** Aged in French oak barrels. **Winemaker:** Jorge Moreira. Pairs wonderfully with smoked salmon, tuna, crab, grilled chicken, or goat cheese. **Allergen information:** Contains sulfites.
