Quinta de Lemos The Encruzado grape is exclusive to the Dão region, is well balanced, aromatic, and gives the wines great longevity. The vines grow on slopes between 350 and 400 m above sea level. The vineyard is managed under an integrated pest‑management program, with herbicide use prohibited. Pest control is achieved by soil mobilisation. Orientation: North/South Soil: sandy, granitic origin Vinification This first‑production wine is vinified in stainless steel, with two‑thirds of it finished at the end of fermentation in new French oak barrels, where it ages for more than a year.
