This Dão white from Quinta de Lemos is a beautiful demonstration of the Encruzado grape – a truly distinctive variety of the region. Grown at altitudes between 350 and 400 metres and benefiting from its sheltered location, this wine clearly has the potential to age gracefully. The careful winemaking, including a 15-month maturation in new French oak barrels, lends a remarkable elegance to the palate. It’s a fantastic match for grilled fish or game birds – a wine that rewards patience.
