“Born from the meticulous care of Quinta de Lemos, this Dona Santana is a true reflection of the Dão Valley’s calm beauty. Grown on granite and sandy slopes between 340 and 350 metres, it’s a wine that clearly benefits from its terroir. The blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz (previously known as Tinta Pinheira), Jaen and a touch of Aragonez creates a wonderfully layered character. Robert Parker noted its ‘beautiful aromatic presence’ and ‘remarkably smooth’ structure, with a ‘fresh and inviting’ finish – a testament to the quality of the grapes. It’s a wine designed to be savoured and aged, ideally paired with a perfectly grilled fish or a hearty beef stew, and we suspect it’ll only get more interesting with time.”
