This Palhete from the Dão is a real revelation – it genuinely smells of the very schistous soil it’s grown in. The vibrant red fruit is beautifully balanced by a touch of crisp apple, all wrapped in an unbelievably smooth texture. The tannins are impressively generous, hinting at a long, lingering finish – clearly benefiting from a patient maturation. Wonderful with grilled red meats or a classic chicken stroganoff, really.
