Quinta de San Michel Brut Sparkling Wine is made exclusively from the Malvasia de Colares grape, reflecting the unique clay‑limestone soils and Mediterranean climate heavily influenced by the Atlantic proximity. After a 4‑month stage in used French oak barrels, it undergoes a 20‑month over‑lees period, giving it greater complexity and texture. On the nose, the wine is delicate and fresh, with citrus aromas of lemon and green apple, herbal hints of mint and spearmint, and a subtle autolytic character, with elegant notes of toast and brioche. In the mouth it stands out for its elegance and fine bubbles, presenting flavors of lemon, green apple and pear, complemented by smoky and brioche notes from the extended lees contact. The finish is long and marked by vibrant acidity, ensuring freshness and longevity. Quinta de San Michel, located in Janas, Sintra municipality, is a property distinguished by the quality of its wines, which reflect the unique identity of the Colares region.
