This Herança from Quinta de Sanjoanne isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s a robust Avesso, firmly held together by Malvasia Fina, yet imbued with the refined touch of perfectly ripe reineta apple. Hints of dried flowers and sweet orange emerge on the palate, culminating in a wonderfully deep creaminess and a texture that’s frankly, quite defying gravity. A wine that, quite rightly, earned those 91 points from Robert Parker – simply divine with grilled white fish or roasted chicken with fragrant herbs.
