This rosé from Quinta de Santa Teresa Avesso clearly took a long nap – and perhaps spent a little time in oak to mellow out! The careful, almost maternal, approach to winemaking, with its hand-picked grapes and extended skin contact, delivers a wine with a salmon-pink hue. Expect vibrant notes of violets and rose petals, reminiscent of a well-watered garden. On the palate, it’s refreshingly dry with a lovely volume, underpinned by a subtle pomegranate nuance and a satisfyingly long finish. Wonderful with grilled fish or a salad bursting with red berries.
