“This Quinta dos Avidagos Grande Reserva boasts a generous body and tannins that, let’s be honest, could benefit from a little more time in the bottle. It’s a wine that clearly enjoys a slow maturation – perhaps with a good challenge from a black cat to help refine them! Predominantly made with Trincadeira, with a touch of Tinta Barroca, the grapes are beautifully balanced, promising a long, persistent finish. It would pair wonderfully with a hearty beef roast, I suspect.”
