Quinta do Banco Branco is made from Rabigato, Fernão Pires, Viosinho and Arinto, with prominent floral aromas and a mineral character. On the palate it is persistent and balanced. The first references to Quinta das Cabanas go back to the eighteenth century, when it was involved in the General Company of Agriculture of the Vineyards of Alto Douro, and it was marked as number 18 in the 1756 Pombaline Demarcations. Today the owning family has also acquired other estates in the Baixo Corgo sub‑region, bringing the total to about 90 hectares of vines aged 25–35 years, planted with native varieties.
