Quinta do Banco red wine is made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Sousão grapes, with about 80 % of the batch ageing in stainless‑steel tanks and the remaining 20 % in French oak barrels. On the nose it delivers mature red fruit aromas with spice notes, finishing with a softness given by its rounded tannins. The earliest references to Quinta das Cabanas date back to the 18th century, when it was involved with the General Company of Agriculture of the Vineyards of the Alto Douro, where marker No 18 of the Pombaline Demarcations of 1756 was placed. Today, the owning family has also acquired other properties in the Sub‑Region of Baixo Corgo, totaling about 90 hectares of vines aged between 25 and 35 years, planted with native varieties.
