Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, founded in 1922 under the name João Pires & Filhos, has embarked on a long journey, establishing itself as one of the most innovative wine producers in the country. The company’s activity began with the production of wines from grapes grown in the Palmela region. During the 1980s, Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal expanded, acquiring properties across Portugal and setting new paradigms for quality wine production. The Quinta do Carmo houses the vinification centre for all its Alentejo wines, and, equipped with modern technology, this cellar can produce 3 million litres. (illustrative image)
