Quinta do Couquinho VINIFICATION: The grapes were hand‑picked at their ideal ripening point, targeting higher aromatic and polyphenolic concentrations. Vinification took place in a press with foot‑treading, enabling greater extraction and maceration so that the quality constituents in the skins passed smoothly into the wine. The must was then transferred to stainless‑steel tanks for gentle remontages and extended macerations at controlled temperatures. STAGING: After malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 12 months in new French oak barrels (first‑ and second‑year).
