Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a property covering about 130 hectares, of which 70 are planted with vines. The company’s portfolio also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, boasting 114 hectares of vineyards. With a privileged position in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by the Roquette family—Leonor and Jorge—for over a century. As is common with the great Douro estates, Quinta do Crasto’s origins date back to ancient times; the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin “castrum,” meaning Roman fort. (illustrative image only)
