The grapes from the Vinha Maria Teresa vineyard were transported in 22‑kg crates and subjected to rigorous selection at the cellar entrance. After a complete destemming and crushing in a traditional press, the must was transferred to temperature‑controlled stainless‑steel fermentation tanks. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation a gentle pressing was performed. Aging: the 2017 Quinta do Crasto Vinha Maria Teresa spent about 20 months in 100 % new oak barrels—90 % French oak and 10 % American oak—where the final lot is the result of the best barrel selections.
