This Baga from Quinta do Encontro is a little cheeky – it dares you to fall in love with Baga, and after a few glasses, you might just find its intensity and complexity are actually a huge strength. It’s brimming with ripe red fruit and a hint of spice, a true reflection of the Bairrada terroir, where the vines cling to those steep slopes. Awarded Recognition by Dinis Ferreira in 2018, it’s a robust wine that would be fantastic alongside a hearty grilled beef dish or a lovely Lechoso stew.
