The Quinta do Gradil Bruto Natural is a sparkling wine produced by the classic method from two grape varieties that perfectly complement each other: Arinto and Chardonnay. After 18 months of aging on lees, in bottling trials, this sparkling wine displays excellent creaminess and complex aromas, combined with the acidity and freshness typical of its parent grapes. As a Brut Natural sparkling wine, its level of sweetness falls below 3 grams per litre (g/L). The Quinta do Gradil is referenced in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. The decisive moment came in the 19th century, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta do Gradil from her father, transforming it into a reference agricultural business focused on wine production. Many years later, the Quinta do Gradil remains a Portuguese benchmark worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira.
