Because the years are not all the same and each grape variety reacts differently, each “character” in this itinerant troupe of performers will appear whenever new exhibitions justify it. Quinta do Gradil Saltimbanco Branco is a limited edition of 660 bottles, 100 % Sauvignon Blanc. This rare and special wine offers a fragrant, intense aroma—pure and incisive—with a pronounced expression of the variety: asparagus, freshly cut grass, and tropical fruit. It delivers an excellent balance on the palate, with an enveloping texture and fine acidity that imparts great freshness. Quinta do Gradil is mentioned in the history of Portuguese wines since 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. The decisive turning point came in the 19th century when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the property from her father, transforming it into a leading agricultural enterprise focused on wine production. Years later, Quinta do Gradil remains a Portuguese benchmark worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira. (Illustrative image only)
