This Douro wine from Quinta do Monte Bravo certainly aims to soothe the soul – and it’s remarkably successful. The 2017 harvest, deemed exceptional by Adega, delivers a vibrant, ruby-red colour and an intensely fruity aroma of raspberry and blackcurrant, subtly spiced with heather. Slow maceration in rotating horizontal tanks has clearly preserved its freshness and elegance. A wine with substantial body, refined tannins and balanced acidity, ideal for pairing with roasted poultry or cured meats.
