“Born from the hands of a dedicated family estate nestled in the heart of the Douro’s schistous hills, this wine is a truly tactile experience. The grapes, painstakingly hand-picked and transported in 20kg wooden crates, are vinified using traditional granite mills, reflecting a careful, almost pedestrian, approach. A six-day fermentation, driven by native yeasts, culminates in a year-long élevage in 600-litre Slavonian oak barrels – a treatment that undeniably elevates the wine. The result is a vibrant ruby wine, brimming with notes of thyme, black pepper, orange blossom, rosemary and fennel. On the palate, it offers a remarkably elegant structure and a refreshingly smooth texture, with velvety tannins that linger delightfully.
