Situated in the city of Estremoz, the estate is noted for its beauty and history, featuring an 18th‑century whitewashed building, valuable gardens, groves, caramanchões, tanks, and other 1700s works of art, and today for its excellent wines. The property was long owned by the Zagalo family, who used it as a holiday home, but unfortunately in 1974, during the 25th of April Revolution, the house and estate were seized and abandoned. In 1979 it was purchased by Miguel Louro, who remains the owner today, beginning wine production in the 1980s. (Illustrative image only)
