This white from Quinta do Paral, which snagged a respectable 17/20 at Grandes Escolhas, really sings of its Alentejo roots. The blend of Antão Vaz and Perrum delivers a vibrant burst of pineapple and passionfruit, while the oak ageing – with a touch of *battonage* – adds a lovely layer of complexity. Seriously, it’s begging for a gorgeous grilled fish like sea bass or bream.
