This Perdigão Reserva from the Dão is a delightfully disorienting wine – you might just find your ginja suddenly seems a little… ordinary. It arrives with a colour hinting at a long summer evening, bursting with aromas of blackcurrant and Earl Grey tea, underpinned by a deliciously subtle hint of dark chocolate. Remarkably smooth tannins and a refined structure, all lingering beautifully on the palate. Seriously, a fantastic wine to pair with grilled fish or a robust red, or, if you’re feeling adventurous, a good aged blue cheese.
