This Douro wine from Quinta do Pessegueiro Aluze clearly enjoyed a contemplative journey to maturity. The grapes, harvested in September and carefully transported in 25kg wooden boxes, were fermented with a touch of passion, ensuring the Touriga Nacional, Aragonez, and Touriga Francesa fully expressed their potential. The extended ageing in oak barrels speaks of a patience bordering on reverence – perfect alongside a slow-roasted beef, a truly comforting pairing.
