This Touriga Nacional from Quinta do Pinto clearly received a healthy dose of respect – those hand-picked grapes, carefully selected in 20kg boxes, point to a serious commitment to quality. The fermentation, aided by native yeasts, is sure to lend the wine a distinctive character. The nine months in second and third-fill French oak barrels will undoubtedly smooth out the acidity and contribute some lovely, rustic notes. A truly excellent match with a hearty cod with potatoes, or perhaps a good cut of beef.
