Beyra Superior Tinto

Description

The grapes that gave rise to this wine were vinified together, aiming to harvest the various varieties from the different plots at the optimal moment for producing a wine meant for aging. It displays great concentration and freshness, and the batch produced a highly complex aroma in which oak notes harmoniously blend, adding depth to the spices, dark fruits, licorice, and violets—a combination that promises to improve in the bottle year after year. In 2011, Rui Reboredo Madeira returned to the same winery where he carried out his first harvest in 1987. Located in the small village of Vermiosa, in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, among the highest vineyards in Portugal, his Beira Interior wines are vinified and aged there. Thus was born the Beyra wine brand, distinguished by excellence and the pioneering concept of “High‑Altitude Wines”. In one of the most remote regions of the Iberian Peninsula, in the rugged area between the Upper Douro and Beira Alta, Rui Reboredo Madeira’s family‑born passion for the aromas and scents of the earth shaped his character. After years of experience and stays in other parts of the world, Rui brings back to his roots what he has learned, launching a personal wine‑making project, always with the utmost respect for nature.
