Located in Alenquer, at the heart of the Lisbon wine region, Quinta do Anjo spans more than 120 hectares, surrounding a 17th‑century estate adjacent to a traditional wine cellar. Legend has it that the wine produced here, two centuries ago, was so distinguished in the region that it was worth many Pintos—the gold coin circulating during the reign of King João V. Adding to this intrigue is the fact that the charismatic founder of the estate was nicknamed “Pinto,” which led the property to be called Quinta do Pinto ever since, a nickname that, coincidentally, is also used by the current owners. The Pinto family’s passion for wine and their five‑generation bond with the land have been the foundation of the entire family’s enthusiasm and dedication to this project. *(illustrative image only)*
