This Magnum Reserva from Quinta do Portal isn’t one of those wines that vanishes on the tongue. There’s a lovely, refined acidity – you can almost hear it tangoing with the Touriga Nacional tannins – and a wonderfully persistent finish, brimming with fruit that suggests it’ll be a rewarding companion over several years of maturation. Perfect with a grilled beef roast, a classic pairing, or perhaps a succulent poussa from the Miranda region.
