This Alvarinho from Quinta do Regueiro certainly doesn’t pull any punches. Having spent 18 months in new French oak barrels, it’s developed a surprising level of complexity – a testament to the careful ageing. This contributes to a noticeably fuller body, quite a departure from the typical Vinho Verde style. Absolutely fantastic with seafood, but honestly, it deserves something a little more refined, particularly when paired with some well-aged cheeses.
