This Alvarinho, hailing straight from Trás-os-Montes, is clearly the product of a very serious winemaker – almost unsettlingly precise. The hand-picked harvest, carried out in perforated boxes, speaks volumes about their dedication to preserving the fruit’s intensity. Fermentation at a cool 16°C, coupled with batonnage, expertly releases the characteristic aromas of the grape. It’s a remarkably elegant wine with a wonderfully refreshing finish – ideally paired with some freshly grilled fish, or perhaps a light bread pudding for a truly decadent experience.
