This Quinta dos Avidagos Reserva is a curious little white wine, deeply rooted in the Douro Valley. Initially, you’re met with a burst of white floral notes – think wild rosemary – alongside ripe citrus, promising a remarkably fresh attack. The subtle influence of 4 months in oak lends a luxurious texture and a lovely balsamic lift, perfectly balancing the acidity. Robert Parker himself awarded it 89 points, and it’s undeniably a wine that deserves to be paired with something delicate, like a beautifully grilled sea bass.
