Founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes, Sogrape Vinhos set out to introduce Portuguese wines to the world, guided by a long‑term vision centred on quality, brand innovation, and stellar presentation. Today, the third generation of the founding family carries on that mission, building a family‑run, internationally‑oriented company that focuses on quality wine production, innovation and the development of globally‑recognised Portuguese brands. The group owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards across Portugal. Quinta dos Carvalhais, located in Mangualde near Nelas and Alcafache, benefits from a distinctive soil, climate and centuries of winemaking expertise that make the Dão truly special.
