Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes with the ambition of introducing the world to Portuguese wines and a long‑term vision grounded in the quality of the wines it markets, the novelty of its brands, and the presentation of its wines. Today, led by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos increasingly fulfills the goal it set at its inception: to be a family‑run, internationally oriented company focused on producing quality wines, fostering innovation, and developing Portuguese brands of global standing. The company owns roughly 830 hectares of vineyards in Portugal. Quinta dos Carvalhais is located in the municipality of Mangualde, near Nelas and Alcafache. The soil, climate, and the experience of a people who have always produced wine make the Dão truly special. (image purely illustrative)
