Quinta dos Castelares The grapes for the Quinta dos Castelares Reserva Branco come from the Quinta dos Castelares estate, located in Freixo de Espada à Cinta in the Upper Douro, at an altitude between 500‑600 meters. The soils are slate with high gravel content. The vineyard is planted in two‑row terraces with high‑vine training. The dominant orientation is North‑Northeast. The grapes are harvested manually, and the whole bunches are gently pressed. Fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature of 16 °C. Partial fermentation takes place in new French oak barrels of fine grain, followed by aging in French oak barrels (two‑thirds) and American oak barrels (one‑third), with fine lees stirring. Pair it with oven‑roasted fish, cod, white meats, and soft cheeses. Allergen information Contains sulfites. SKU: 106365
